Damon Rosario

Damon Rosario is a Los Angeles-based songwriter, guitar player, and singer.  His musical style, dubbed "Americana Folk Pop" by Sweetwater keyboardist and songwriter Alex Del Zoppo, combines the influences of Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Ben Harper, Bob Seger, Michael Penn, Tom Petty, Phil Collins, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Bill Withers, and R.E.M., among others.

In 2012, Damon completed and released his self-produced record "There Must be More to Life Than Walmart," which contains the award-winning song "Nihilism in the Kiev Sea," and features great players such as drummer Denny Fongheiser (Tracy Chapman, Heart), keys player Deron Johnson (Miles Davis, Paula Abdul), percussionist Rich Mangicaro (Glenn Frey, Venice) and string player Stevie Blacke (R.E.M., Snoop Dog).  "There Must Be More to Life Than Walmart" has been available in wide release since August 31st, 2012.

Damon has toured with fellow L.A.-based musicians Jenni Alpert and Mike Rofe and he plays regularly around Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, making occasional stops in Nashville and New York City, with bassist Charles Brandick and Todd Myers on drums.

Guided by the musical scholarship of sonically gifted engineer/producer Marco Dydo, Damon recorded two full length albums of original songs under his former moniker "No One Special."  Both albums, "I Don't Even Know" (2006) and "Another World is Possible" (2009) are available, along with additional tracks by the artist formerly known as "No One Special," available somewhere on the Inter-webs.

Damon's tongue-in-cheek single "The Search Engine Alphabet Song (A-M)" is available as track 3 on the "Songsalive! CD Sampler 12 Compilation" album, and can also be found on itunes.

Damon has released a single called "Roses for You" which is available on Apple Music and Amazon Music, and released a Music Video in Nov. 2020 for his song Seattle which can be seen on Youtube.  You can listen to another recording by Damon available here exclusively, or on Reverbnation called,  "A Shot in the Dark."
