Seattle Music Video Release

Nov. 1,, 2020

This slide-show-style music video and song are based on a one-day visit to Seattle during the first decade of the 2000's that left me inspired to write and record this song with engineering help from Charles Brandick. Along with the great musicianship of Charlie's bass, the song was also blessed to receive the magic of Stevie Blacke on strings, Rich Mangicaro on percussion, and Alex Del Zoppo on the keys. After we made the recording, I always wanted to make a video for this song. I finally did it using a series of photos and a brief bit of video footage I was fortunate to come across from some kind and talented folks. I hope that you find it captures some of the feeling of the city of that time when the Post Intelligencer Newspaper was still in print. Only 3 pictures in the video were not taken in the city of Seattle itself: The 2 pictures of the Mother Earth garden/fountain (which was posthumously dedicated to Chief Seattle) were taken in Canada, and Chief Seattle's gravesite is located in Suquamish, which is technically located West of the city, across the deep saltwater divide called Puget Sound. If you happen to have your own video or picture footage of the now-retired PI Globe, please share it, or share a link to it in the comments for the video on Youtube to help preserve the memory of this iconic part of Seattle's history.
